Day 42 of 100 Days
Thursday, 11th February 2021
I woke up with a little bit of a fuzzy head this morning after a few glasses of wine last night. I don’t drink anywhere near as much as I used to, so the hangovers tend to really hurt when they do come. It took me a little longer to get going today, which was fine because my first meeting wasn’t until 11.30am, but the problem is I get hangover guilt for the time I lose when I'm feeling like crap. I drank lots of water though, and that made me feel better.
What: Google AdWords and SEO Meeting
Organisation: The Doorstep Library
Today, I had my second meeting with the Doorstep Library, the lovely charity which brings the magic and joy of reading to children in disadvantaged areas of London. I'm helping them with their AdWords, and, after today's Zoom, their Facebook ads. They've asked if they can approve all ad copy before it goes out, which is fair enough, and this has forced me to adapt and make my AdWords spreadsheet more efficient (which I had been meaning to do for a while). It was a really good process and actually weirdly relaxing in the way, like when you've done a load of ironing and you can see your nice tidy work at the end of it.
What: Campaign Meeting
Organisation: Transforming Autism Project
Today, we had a campaing meeting for our March for Autism campaign, and I'm hugely relieved to say that the campaign has been delayed and shortened which is good for a few reasons:
1. We have time to properly launch it, because we're now launching on the 20th February
2. The campaign is lasting two weeks which means there won't be campaign fatigue either from our end or from our supporters
3. It's coinciding with Autism Awareness Week - which totally makes sense
Heather's made a really positive impact on the team, and she's only been with us this week. We're going to be reconnecting next week to firm-up the comms plan, so we'll be ready to launch properly. You'll be hearing more about this next week!
